Box Score CONWAY, Ark. – The Birmingham-Southern women's volleyball team battled Hendrix College in the final three sets to earn its 3-2 road win Saturday afternoon. The Panthers (9-4) are now 5-1 in Southern Athletic Conference play.
Rachel Lee (Montgomery, Ala./The Montgomery Academy) and Milea Ray (Alabaster, Ala./Pensacola State) finished with double-doubles on the day. Lee earned a team-high 45 assists, her fourth match this season with 40+ assists, and grabbed 12 digs. Ray had 11 kills and 14 digs, respectively.
Caroline Johnson (Lucas, Texas/Lovejoy HS) led the backline with a season-high 29 digs. The front line was dominant defensively as well, earning a game-high 12 blocks collectively. They were led by Rebecca Erwin (Duluth, Ga./Duluth HS) who assisted six blocks and picked up two solo.
The Panthers remain on the road. They face Rhodes College on Sunday, Oct. 1 at 1 p.m.
