Box Score MOUNT BERRY, Ga. – The Birmingham-Southern women's volleyball team could not fend off a late rally by No. 24 Berry College Friday night as the Panthers fell 3-2 on the road in Southern Athletic Association play.
BSC (7-5, 2-2 SAA) dropped the first set 25-23, but took the next two 25-19. Berry pushed ahead in the fourth set to win 25-22 and then never relinquished the lead in the fifth set, winning 15-12.
Milea Ray (Alabaster, Ala./Pensacola State) picked up another double-double after earning 10 kills and 15 digs. Jeneva Salter (Madison, Ala./Bob Jones HS) led all attackers with a team-high 21 kills, hitting .314. Caroline Johnson (Lucas, Texas/Lovejoy HS) earned a team-high 25 digs and Reilly Vought (Spanish Fort, Ala./Spanish Fort HS) led with a match and career-high 48 assists.
The Panthers continue SAA competition on the road at Oglethorpe University. Match time is set for tomorrow at noon CT.
