Box Score 2 ST. LOUIS, Mo. – The Birmingham-Southern women's volleyball team closed out competition at the 2018 Washington University Bear Invite falling to No. 13 Carthage and Rose-Hulman 3-0. Milea Ray (Alabaster, Ala./Pensacola State) was named to the all-tournament team.
Ansleigh Dailey (Daphne, Ala./Bayside Academy) earned double-doubles in both matches. She finished with 47 assists and 28 digs on the day. Jeneva Salter (Madison, Ala./Bob Jones HS) led the hitters with 17 kills.
Defensively, Caroline Johnson (Lucas, Texas/Lovejoy HS) and Ray earned team-highs of 39 and 37 digs, respectively. And at the net, Rebecca Erwin (Duluth, Ga./Duluth HS) finished with a team-best 10 digs.
The Panthers (5-3) remain on the road to open Southern Athletic Association play. BSC will face Millsaps College on Wednesday, Sept. 15 at 6 p.m.
