Box Score BIRMINGHAM, Ala. – Birmingham-Southern women's volleyball upset No. 6 Berry College Saturday afternoon in Bill Battle Coliseum to improve to 7-1 against Southern Athletic Association opponents. This is the second time BSC (13-5) has defeated the ranked Vikings. They now sit tied for first in the SAA with Hendrix College.
It was a total team effort for the Panthers. Julia Denby (Gulf Breeze, Fla./Gulf Breeze HS) led the offense with a team-high 11 kills. Ansleigh Dailey (Daphne, Ala./Bayside Academy) and Reilly Vought (Spanish Fort, Ala./Spanish Fort HS) combined for 35 assists.
Defensively, Caroline Johnson (Lucas, Texas/Lovejoy HS) picked up a match-high 31 digs. And Rebecca Erwin (Duluth, Ga./Duluth HS) earned a match-high nine blocks.
The Panthers face Oglethorpe University tomorrow at home. Match time is set for noon.
