SAA CHAMPIONS: Panthers Sweep Hendrix 3-0

BIRMINGHAM, Ala.  – Birmingham-Southern women's volleyball clinched the Southern Athletic Association regular season title with its 3-0 sweep of Hendrix College Saturday afternoon.  BSC (18-5) is now 12-1 in conference play. 

The Panthers dominated defensively.  Rebecca Erwin (Duluth, Ga./Duluth HS) tied her career-high with a match-high 10 blocks.  And Caroline Johnson (Lucas, Texas/Lovejoy HS) earned a match-high 18 digs.

Offensively, Alyssa Coats (Nolensville, Tenn./Nolensville HS) led with a match and career-high 16 kills. Ansleigh Dailey (Daphne, Ala./Bayside Academy) and Reilly Vought (Spanish Fort, Ala./Spanish Fort HS) combined for 31 assists.

BSC stays on the road to close out regular season conference play at Rhodes College.  They take on the Lynx at noon.
