Box Score TOURNAMENT CENTRAL
Birmingham, Ala. – The Birmingham-Southern women's volleyball finished as the tournament runner-up Sunday after falling to No. 9 Berry College 3-0 in the Southern Athletic Association championship match. BSC (24-6) saw Julia Denby (Gulf Breeze, Fla./Gulf Breeze HS) and Milea Ray (Alabaster, Ala./Pensacola State) named to the all-tournament team for their performance this weekend.
Denby led the Panthers offensively, earning 11 kills with only three errors against Berry. Caroline Johnson (Lucas, Texas/Lovejoy HS) paced the backline with a team-high 16 digs and Ray finished right behind her with 15 digs, respectively.
Reilly Vought (Spanish Fort, Ala./Spanish Fort HS) and Ansleigh Dailey (Daphne, Ala./Bayside Academy) combined for 33 assists.
BSC now waits to see if it will get one of the coveted at-large bids to the dance. The NCAA Division III selection show airs at 11:30 a.m. Monday morning.
