MONTEVALLO, Ala. – The Birmingham-Southern men's and women's swimming and diving teams defeated Montevallo on the road on Friday afternoon.
The Panthers put down the Hawks with a combined score of 323-188. The men's team won 164-91 while the women's team won 159-97. Out of the 28 total events, BSC won 19 of them.
Five different Panthers won multiple events: Sophomore Chase Bolding (Panama City Beach, Fla./Wyoming), freshman Charlie Fountain (Lilburn, Ga./Parkview HS), sophomore Annalane Lee (Orange Beach, Ala./Gulf Shores HS), freshman Connor Schwartz (New Orleans, La./Jesuit HS), and sophomore Mary Katherine Stewart (Daphne, Ala./Daphne HS).
Birmingham-Southern also took first place in both 400-yard medley relays and the men's 400-yard freestyle relay.
BSC's next meet will be at home at the Birmingham Crossplex on Saturday, Nov. 9 when the Panthers host Evansville. The meet is scheduled to start at 1 p.m. CT.
