BIRMINGHAM, Ala. – Senior swimming and diving student-athlete Becca Erwin (Duluth, Ga./Duluth HS) was named to the Collegiate Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA) Division III Academic All-District At-Large Team, the organization announced on Thursday.
The 2020 Academic All-District Women's At-Large Team, selected by CoSIDA, recognizes the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances in athletic competition and in the classroom.
Erwin, a biology major with a 3.92 GPA, was the Southern Athletic Association Women's Swimmer of the Year for the third straight year and qualified for the 2020 NCAA Division III Swimming and Diving Championships before the championships were cancelled. She was named an All-American by the College Swimming and Diving Coaches Association of America (CSCAA) in the 100-, 200-, and 500-yard freestyles and in the 800-yard freestyle relay.
Erwin was a CoSIDA Academic All-American last season. Honorees selected first-team Academic All-District will advance to the CoSIDA Academic All-America ballot. Academic All-America honorees will be announced from June 16-19.
