CONWAY, Ark. – A full team effort pushed the Birmingham-Southern women's tennis team over Hendrix College Sunday. BSC (9-5) won 7-2 to improve to 3-1 against Southern Athletic Association opponents.
Ansley Turley (Knoxville, Tenn./Knoxville Catholic HS), Emily Enoch (Nashville, Tenn./Christ Presbyterian Academy), and Ashton Henderson (Birmingham, Ala./Laurel Springs HS) went undefeated on the day. After winning 8-3 in No. 2 doubles, Turley took her No. 3 singles match 7-5, 6-4, and Enoch won 6-0, 7-5 in the No. 4 spot. Henderson was partnered with Lexie Dillard (Jasper, Ala./Walker HS) for the 8-4 No. 3 doubles win. She went on to win in straight sets 6-0, 6-0 at no. 5 singles.
The Panthers return home for their next pair of conference matches. They take on Centre college Saturday and then No. 26 Sewanee on Sunday.
