Box Score 2 BIRMINGHAM, Ala. – Birmingham-Southern women's volleyball swept competition Friday in the first day of the 2019 BSC McAttack Bash in Bill Battle Coliseum. BSC (2-0) defeated St. Catherine University 3-1 before going on to top Covenant College 3-0.
Seniors Rebecca Erwin (Duluth, Ga./Duluth HS) and Milea Ray (Alabaster, Ala./Pensacola State) led the team with 20 kills each. Erwin hit a team-best .319 while collecting 10 blocks and three service aces. Fellow senior Caroline Johnson (Lucas, Texas/Lovejoy HS) led the team in digs.
Sophomores Reilly Vought (Spanish Fort, Ala./Spanish Fort HS) and Ansleigh Dailey (Daphne, Ala./Bayside Academy) split time at setter. The pair combined for 65 assists on the day.
The Panthers continue play tomorrow. They take on LaGrange College at 3 p.m. and then Brevard College at 5 p.m.
