Box Score ATLANTA, Ga. – Birmingham-Southern women's volleyball followed their upset win over No. 5 Berry College with a 4-1 win against Oglethorpe University Saturday to improve to 2-0 in Southern Athletic Association play. BSC (8-3) out-killed, out-blocked, and out-dug the Stormy Petrels in the win.
Rebecca Erwin (Duluth, Ga./Duluth HS) dominated on the court. She hit .578 while leading with game-highs in kills and blocks. She finished with 16 points. Ansleigh Dailey (Daphne, Ala./Bayside Academy) and Reilly Vought (Spanish Fort, Ala./Spanish Fort HS) combined for 33 assists.
Defensively, Caroline Johnson (Lucas, Texas/Lovejoy HS) and Milea Ray (Alabaster, Ala./Pensacola State) led on the back line. The pair finished with 13 and 11 digs, respectively, with Johnson netting the match-high.
The Panthers return home for their next match. They welcome SAA rival Millsaps College to the Hilltop on Tuesday, Sept. 24. Match time is set for 6 p.m.
