BIRMINGHAM, Ala. – The Birmingham-Southern men's basketball team opened its 2020-21 season with a 87-81 overtime win against Huntingdon College Monday afternoon in Bill Battle Coliseum. BSC (1-0) is 9-1 at home against the Hawks since 2011.
 
Christian Stewart (Birmingham, Ala./Shades Valley HS) led with team-highs of 16 points and nine rebounds.  Cameron Glover (Trussville, Ala./Hewitt-Trussville HS) and Ben Spence (Germantown, Tenn./Christian Brothers HS) finished in double-figures at 14 and 12 points, respectively.  Glover also earned a game-high five assists.
 
The Panthers return to action this Thursday.  They welcome Belhaven to the Hilltop for a 7 p.m. tipoff.
