BIRMINGHAM, Ala. – Birmingham-Southern women's tennis opened the 2020 season with clean 9-0 sweep of Belhaven University Saturday at the Dielen Tennis Complex.
Ashton Henderson (Birmingham, Ala./Laurel Springs HS) didn't drop a single game. She and partner Margaret Zaner (Montgomery, Ala./Eastwood Christian School) took No. 3 doubles 8-0 and she went on to win No. 3 singles 6-0. Zaner and Emily Enoch (Nashville, Tenn./Christ Presbyterian Academy) only dropped two games across their matches. Zaner won No. 4 singles 6-2, 6-0. And Enoch took her No. 2 singles match 6-1, 6-1 after winning No. 2 doubles 8-0 with partner Ansley Turley (Knoxville, Tenn./Knoxville Catholic HS).
The Panthers return to action tomorrow at home against MUW. Match time is set for 11 a.m.
