MONTGOMERY, Ala. – Birmingham-Southern women's tennis defeated Huntingdon College 6-3 Saturday morning. BSC improved to 5-1 overall with the win over their regional rival.
Ansley Turley (Knoxville, Tenn./Knoxville Catholic HS), Emily Enoch (Nashville, Tenn./Christ Presbyterian Academy),and Ashton Henderson (Birmingham, Ala./Laurel Springs HS) went undefeated on the day. After winning 8-3 at No. 2 doubles with partner Enoch, Turley gave up just one game in her No. 2 singles win. Enoch went on to win 6-3, 4-6, 10-7 at No. 4 singles.
Henderson dropped only two games against her No. 5 singles opponent. She and partner Margaret Zaner (Montgomery, Ala./Eastwood Christian School)also won 8-3 from the No. 3 position.
The Panthers return to the Hilltop next weekend when they host Christian Brothers University. The match takes place on Friday at 1 p.m.
