BIRMINGHAM, Ala. – Birmingham-Southern women's tennis improved to 5-3 after defeating Martin Methodist Saturday on the Dielen Tennis Complex.
The Redhawks forfeited No. 3 doubles and No. 6 singles.
Jenna Prater (Mobile, Ala./St. Paul's Episcopal School) won at No. 2 doubles with partner
Alyssa Yager (Gardendale, Ala./Gardendale HS), 8-2 and then went on to win No. 4 singles after her opponent was forced to retire due to injury.
Ashton Henderson (Birmingham, Ala./Laurel Springs HS) competed at the No. 5 singles position and defeated her opponent without losing a single game (6-0, 6-0).
BSC is back in action on Saturday, March 6 when they welcome Rhodes College to the Hilltop. Match time is set for 2 p.m.
