Box Score BIRMINGHAM, Ala. – Birmingham-Southern women's tennis improved to 3-0 on the year after defeating Wallace State 8-1 Friday afternoon on the Ann Dielen Tennis Courts.
Four Panthers went undefeated on the day.
Alyssa Yager (Gardendale, Ala./Gardendale HS) and
Jenna Prater (Mobile, Ala./St. Paul's Episcopal School) swept their No. 2 doubles opponent 8-0. Both went on to win in singles, Yager at the No. 1 spot (6-1, 6-3) and Prater at No. 4 (4-6, 6-4, 10-8).
Ashton Henderson (Birmingham, Ala./Laurel Springs HS) and
Emily Enoch (Nashville, Tenn./Christ Presbyterian Academy) won at No. 3 doubles 8-1 before going on to take their singles matches. Enoch won 6-1, 6-1 at No. 3 singles. And Henderson won 6-1, 7-5 in the No. 5 spot.
BSC is back in action on Tuesday, Feb. 16 when they welcome Piedmont College to the Hilltop. Match time is set for 2 p.m.
