MONTEVALLO, Ala. – Birmingham-Southern men's track and field opened it's outdoor season at the Montevallo Falcon Classic this weekend.
 
"We had a number of strong performance for a season opener and our focus remains on getting better each day," said Head Coach Kenneth Cox.
 
Maurice Sutherland (Meridian, Miss./Northeast HS)  set a new personal record in the triple jump.  His mark of 14.02m was good for third place.  Griffin Riner (Trussville, Ala./Hewitt-Trussville HS) also placed third in his event.  He cleared the high jump bar at 1.73m.
 
BSC returns home to host the Hilltop Classic on Friday, March 26.
