ATLANTA, Ga. - The Birmingham-Southern men's and women's track and field teams finished the Emory Thrills in the Hills meet with seven top 10 finishes between the two teams on Friday and Saturday.
Kobe King and
Andrew Warhurst tied for the highest placements on the day for the Panthers. In the triple jump, King finished fourth with a jump of 13.26m. Warhurst also earned a fourth-place finish with a 16.10 time in the 100m hurdles.
Jaylen Scott continued his fantastic freshman campaign in the field with a 36.67m discus throw to earn seventh place.
Andrew Martin also had a great day in the field with a ninth-place finish in javelin throw after his 40.13m heave. The men's team was rounded out by two more 10th place finishes courtesy of
Jack Rodgers (16:38.23 in 5000m) and
Kobe King (6:06m in long jump).
Sydney Smith was the leader for the Panther women's team at Emory with four top 20 individual finishes. She was part of BSC's 4x400m relay team that finished sixth with a time of 4:45.23.
