BIRMINGHAM, Ala. – The Birmingham-Southern men's track and field team finished fourth overall at the 2021 Hilltop "Birdwell" Classic Friday.
Reece Weaver (Fort Payne, Ala./Fort Payne HS) placed second in the 400m dash. He finished in personal record time of 50.40. He picked up another second place finish as a part of the 4x400m relay. Combined with
William Wideman (Marietta, Ga./Pope HS),
Glen Humphrey (Birmingham, Ala./Oak Mountain HS), and
Maurice Sutherland (Meridian, Miss./Northeast HS), the Panthers crossed in a season best 3:22.54.
Jordan Jones (Powder Springs, Ga./Hiram HS) placed second in the triple jump with a distance of 14.07m. In the 110m hurdles,
Andrew Warhurst (Anniston, Ala./Oxford HS) ran a personal best 16.66, good for third place. And BSC took both second and third in the javelin.
Luke Ballard (Hoover, Ala./Hoover HS) threw a personal record 54.38m to earn second.
CJ LeCroy (Isabella, Ala./Isabella HS) went 53.52m to place third.
BSC returns to action Easter weekend when they head to the UAB Blazer Outdoor meet April 3.
