BIRMINGHAM, Ala. - The Birmingham-Southern track and field team hosted their annual BSC Icebreaker track meet to open up the season. Over 15 teams were in attendance and BSC got the season off to a great start.
Maurice Sutherland showed well in the triple jump finishing third ahead of many Division I opponents, Sutherland was the only top 5 finisher in the field events for the Panthers.
William Wideman finished in the top 25 of the men's 200-meter dash the highest finisher on both the men's and women's side. He followed that up with a top 15 finish in the 400-meter dash. In the mile run Noah Arrington and Hunter Siddle showed well finishing in the top 15 of the event. Arrington finished 10th, the highest of any Panther in the track events.
BSC wrapped up the meet with a couple top 20 finishes and look to carry that momentum they built into the next meet.
