WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. - Jordan Jones of the Birmingham-Southern men's track and field team competed at the Division III Indoor National Championships today (March 12). Jones placed fifth and gathered All-American honors. 

Jordan Jones competed in the men's triple jump and recorded a jump length of 14.73 meters which is a new personal record and program record. Jones recorded that jump on his first of six attempts. 

This is the third time the senior has appeared in an Indoor National Championship. He made it in 2020 but was unable to compete because of the COVID-19 pandemic. He then was able to compete in the 2021 Elite Indoor Championship at Wartburg College where he won. 

Jones placed fifth of 20 participants in the triple jump.
