BIRMINGHAM, Ala. - For the second week in a row the Birmingham-Southern men's track and field team traveled down the road to UAB and competed in the Green and Gold Invite and Multi, placing 10th.
Although the event started on Thursday, BSC did not start competing until Friday. During the Friday events
Jordan Jones won the men's long jump by 0.13 meters with a jump of 6.94 meters. The first place finish gathered 10 points for the Panthers.
Jordan McClendon,
Jimmy Anderson, and
Lionel Grant all finished inside the top 20 for BSC in the event.
Beck Wilkes finished out Friday with an 11th place finish in the men's 1500 meter run. Wilkes finished in front of many Division I opponents.
On Saturday Birmingham-Southern had five student-athletes place inside the top 20 in the men's discuss throw. Following the discuss throw
Jordan Jones placed sixth in the men's triple jump to gain three more points for the Panthers.
Jacob Kennedy finished the field events on Saturday with an eighth place finish in the men's shot put. Gaining two points for BSC.
In the Saturday track events
Ne'Andra Howard and
Branden Rew both finishied 10th and 11th respectivley in the 400-meter hurdles.
Reece Weaver added a point to the Panthers total with a 10th place finish in the 200 meter dash.
The Panthers finished the meet in 10th place with 21 total points.

Birmingham-Southern will travel to Berry College on Friday, April 15 and compete in the Berry College Field Day.
