SEWANEE, Tenn. - The Birmingham-Southern men's and women's track and field teams competed in Tennesee on Saturday. The Panthers finished with 17 individuals that placed inside the top 15 of their prospective events.
Birmingham-Southern dominated the men's triple jump with
Kobe King (13.01m),
Cree Ross (12.39m), and
Eric Darden (12.37m) finishing 2nd-4th.
Sydney Smith finished with a time of 28.74 which was good enough for 8th place in the women's 200m.
Other Birmingham-Southern Finishes
- Mario Brewer finishes with a personal best time of 56.89 in the 400m run, which was enough for 11th place.
- Mallory Jackson was awarded with two top 15 finishes. The first was a 10th place finish in the 200m run with a time of 29.36. The second was a personal best time of 7.85 in the 55m run.
- Kya Gardner also ran in the 200m finishing with a time of 29.90 and a 13th place finish.
- Ada Weems was the only woman to run in the 400m, finishing in 12th with a time of 1:14.69.
- Hunter Siddle finished in the top 15 in two running events. The first was a top 8 finish in the 400m run with a time of 56.15. The second was an 11th place finish in the 800m run with a time of 2.11.10.
- Noah Arrington also competed in the 800m run with a 7th place finish. Noah finished with a time of 2:09.00.
- Kobe King competed in the long jump with a 9th place finish and a long jump of 6.30m.
- Jaylen Scott added two top 15 finishes with a 14th place throw of 11.47m in the shot put. Jaylen also competed in the weight throw with a personal best throw of 11.94.
