DANVILLE, Ky. - The Birmingham-Southern men's track and field team finished fifth in the 2024 SAA Indoor Track and Field Championship on Friday and Saturday. Freshman
Kobe King finished third in the Men's Triple Jump to earn All-SAA Honorable Mention at the conclusion of the meet.
In addition to his podium finish in Triple Jump,
Kobe King also finished sixth in Long Jump with a distance of 6.27m and eighth in the 200m Dash with a 23.86 second run. The freshman continued to lead the Panthers in the SAA Championship with
Cree Ross and
Jaylen Scott also having impressive meets. Individually, Ross leaped 6.61m in the Long Jump to earn him a fourth-place finish. He also finished fourth in the Triple Jump with a distance of 12.58m and seventh in the 60m Dash (7.22) to round out his impressive meet. Last week's SAA Field Athlete of the Week,
Jaylen Scott, carried his momentum into the SAA Indoor Championship with a sixth-place finish in Shot Put (12.87m) and seventh-place finish in Weight Throw (12.27m).
The veterans also made their presence felt headlined by senior Andrew Warhust finishing fifth in 60m Hurdles. Sophomore
Noah Arrington placed sixth in the 800m Run and 1 Mile Run with times of 2:02.37 and 4:30.84 respectively.
