BIRMINGHAM, Ala. - After #23 baseball's win last night, Birmingham-Southern wrapped up the spring regular season. Each of BSC's nine sports will be competing in the their respective SAA tournaments this weekend.
After their ninth consecutive win last night, the Birmingham-Southern baseball team will host Rhodes for a best-of-three first round series. The Panthers finished the regular season third in the SAA with a 14-7 conference record while Rhodes finished sixth with a 10-11 record. BSC swept Rhodes in Memphis two weekends ago and hopes to do the same in the first round of the SAA Baseball Tournament. The BSC softball team played Rhodes last weekend in a battle for the #2 seed in the SAA. The Panthers came out on top with a sweep to claim hosting rights for the first round of the SAA Softball Tournament. Birmingham-Southern finished the conference regular season with a 13-5 record and will host #7 seed Hendrix in the first game of a four-team pod including #3 Rhodes and #6 Millsaps. With an emphatic 12-6 quarterfinal win at #4 seed Rhodes last Saturday, the Birmingham-Southern men's lacrosse team makes their way to Danville, Kentucky to take on #1 seed Centre in the SAA Men's Lacrosse Tournament Semifinals. The Panthers finished the conference regular season 3-3 and fell to Centre in March by a score of 14-11. The semifinal contest will start at 7:30 p.m. EST on Friday, April 26 and can be watched

Coming off five straight wins to end the spring season, the #42 ranked Birmingham-Southern men's tennis team earned the #2 seed and a bye for the SAA Men's Tennis Tournament. BSC will face the winner of #3 Rhodes and #6 Oglethorpe on Saturday, April 27 at 9:00 a.m. in Mufreesboro, Tennessee. The winner of their semifinal match up would compete in the SAA championship on Sunday, April 28 at 9:00 a.m.
The Birmingham-Southern women's tennis team booked their place in the SAA tournament after a win over Oglethorpe in the final weekend of the regular season. The #6 seed Panthers will take on #3 Rhodes on Friday, April 26 at 1:00 p.m. in Murfreesboro. The winner of the quarterfinal match up will face #2 Berry for the semifinal on Saturday, April 27 at 1:00 p.m.
