Box Score MEMPHIS, Tenn.—The Birmingham-Southern women's lacrosse team saw a five-game win streak come to an end Tuesday afternoon, falling to Clarkson University, 20-5, at Rhodes College in Memphis, Tenn.
The Panthers fell to 7-2, while the Golden Knights moved to 3-1.
HOW IT HAPPENED
- Clarkson scored three quick goals to open the game, going up 3-0 within the first 2:30.
- BSC responded just as quickly, scoring three goals, including two from sophomore Natalie Daniel, in a two-minute span to tie it up at the 22:41 mark.
- The teams traded goals after that before Clarkson closed out the half with seven straight goals to lead 11-4 at the half.
- The Golden Knights opened the second half with five more goals to pull ahead 16-4 before senior Amanda Amerson scored BSC's final goal of the game at the 16:21 mark.
- Clarkson finished out the game scoring four more goals.
NOTABLE
- Daniel was BSC's leading scorer with two goals, while Amerson had a goal and an assist.
- Daniel also led with three draw controls.
- Sophomore goalkeeper Chloe Massoni recorded 11 saves.
