LOOKOUT MOUNTAIN, Ga. – The No. 13 Birmingham-Southern softball team swept Covenant College in its first away series of the season.  BSC won game one 4-1 and then took game two 6-1.

Five Panthers had multi-hit days led by Haley Crumpton (Alabaster, Ala./Thompson HS) and Alex Skene (Littleton, Colo./Mullen HS). Crumpton hit .400 on the day and Skene finished with two hits, including a double, three RBI and scored two runs.

Crumpton also picked up one of the wins.  She pitched a complete seven innings, striking out 10 and finished with a 0.00 ERA.  Taylor Harkins (Mountain Brook, Ala./Mountain Brook HS) earned the other win after going 5.1 innings and striking out four.

BSC returns home this Saturday, Feb. 18 in a doubleheader with Texas Lutheran.  First pitch is set for noon at the BSC Softball Park.
