MONTGOMERY, Ala. – Birmingham-Southern softball swept Huntingdon College 4-0 and 9-1 in six innings on the road Wednesday Afternoon.  The Panthers improved to 11-8 overall with the wins.

Abby Spencer (Auburn, Ala./Auburn HS) and Haley Crumpton (Alabaster, Ala./Thompson HS) led the team offensively.  Spencer hit .750 with four runs off six hits and two RBI.  Crumpton went 5-for-8 with two runs and five RBI.

Crumpton and Taylor Harkins (Mountain Brook, Ala./Mountain Brook HS) earned the wins.  Harkins pitched seven shutout innings giving up just three hits and striking out a team-best six batters.

The Panthers remain on the road.  They face Southern Athletic Association rival Sewanee on Saturday, March 11 in a doubleheader that starts at noon. The series will conclude with a single game on Sunday at noon.
