Box Score 2 BIRMINGHAM, Ala. – Savannah Lee (Lascassas, Tenn./Oakland HS) hit three home runs in three at bats to help the Birmingham-Southern softball team shutout Millsaps College 6-0 in game one of their Southern Athletic Association doubleheader Saturday. But late runs in game two down the Panthers 4-2 in the finale. BSC (12-9) is now 6-4 against SAA opponents.
Lee and Maddie Ridgway (Birmingham, Ala./Southern Mississippi) led the team offensively on the day, both going 4-for-6 at the plate. Lee finished with three runs, all on home runs, and four RBI.
Taylor Harkins (Mountain Brook, Ala./Mountain Brook HS) earned the complete game shutout win, going a full seven innings and striking out a team-best seven batters. Harkins also only gave up two hits.
The Panthers complete their series with Millsaps on Sunday afternoon. First pitch is scheduled for noon.
