Box Score ATLANTA, Ga. – The Birmingham-Southern women's lacrosse team picked up its first Southern Athletic Association win of the season Saturday with a 19-3 road victory over Oglethorpe University. The Panthers are now 4-5 overall, 1-2 in conference play.
Natalie Daniel (Ooltewah, Tenn./Baylor School) and Jade Cox (Rome, Ga./Darlington School) led with a game-high five goals. Katie Gleeson (Franklin, Tenn./Franklin HS) and Ashley Shepherd (Dandridge, Tenn./Jefferson County HS) earned hat tricks of their own in the win. Shepherd, Gleeson and Cox each had a team-high two assists on the day as well.
Jillian Montgomery (Newnan, Ga./LaGrange) earned the win after grabbing six saves.
The Panthers return home to take on SAA rival Hendrix College next. Game time is set for 5 p.m. on Saturday, March 25 in Krulak Stadium.
