MARSHALL, Texas – The Birmingham-Southern softball team defeated its second ranked opponent in two days, splitting their doubleheader against No. 6 East Texas Baptist Tuesday evening.  The Panthers (15-13) won game one 2-1 and then took ETB to extra innings before falling 4-3 in the finale.

Savannah Lee (Lascassas, Tenn./Oakland HS) led the team offensively.  She finished with four hits on the day.  Taylor Harkins (Mountain Brook, Ala./Mountain Brook HS) earned the complete game win, giving up just one run and walking none of the 30 batters she faced.

The Panthers continue their road trip in Texas.  They face No. 2 Texas-Tyler on Wednesday, March 29 in a single game that starts at noon.
