DEMOREST, Ga. – The Birmingham-Southern softball team split competition in its final day of the Piedmont Classic Sunday.  BSC (2-2) fell 7-6 to Pfeiffer, before topping host Piedmont 7-1 in the night cap.

Haley Crumpton (Alabaster, Ala./Thompson HS) earned the win after spending time on the mound in both games.  She finished with six strikeouts and a 1.45 ERA after going 9.2 innings.  Savannah Lee (Lascassas, Tenn./Oakland HS) led the hitters going .625 at the plate with five hits, including two home runs, and seven RBI.  Lee finished the day with a 1.375 slugging percentage.

The Panthers open home play when they host Centre College in their Southern Athletic Association opener February 24-25.  The doubleheader on Saturday starts at noon with a single game on Sunday set for noon.
