CONWAY, Ark. – The Birmingham-Southern softball team took its Southern Athletic Association series against Hendrix 2-1.  The Panthers won games one and three to improve to 13-8, 4-2 SAA.

Haley Crumpton (Alabaster, Ala./Thompson HS) led with six hits, including a double and a home run.  Catherine Coffey (Huntsville, Ala./Buckhorn HS) and Savannah Lee (Lascassas, Tenn./Oakland HS) had a great weekend at the plate.  Coffey hit. 600 with three runs and an RBI.  Lee went 4-for-7 with two RBI, despite being walked four times.

Crumpton also earned both wins.  She struck out a team-high nine batters in 14 innings of work.  She finished with a 2.00 ERA.

BSC returns home for another conference series.  They take on Rhodes College March 17-18.
