MEMPHIS, Tenn. – The Birmingham-Southern women's lacrosse team's season came to an end on Sunday afternoon as the Panthers fell to the Rhodes Lynx 24-8 in the semifinal round of the 2018 Southern Athletic Association Tournament.

The home team set the tone early as the Panthers were outscored 18-2 by the top seeded Lynx in the first half. The final 30 minutes saw each team score six goals.

Freshman attack Ryanne Ritter (Pelham, Ala./Oak Mountain HS) led BSC on offense with three goals. Seniors Ashley Shepherd (Dandridge, Tenn./Jefferson County HS) and Natalie Daniel (Ooltewah, Tenn./Baylor School) had two goals each.

Freshman Mari Clair Harmon (Houston, Texas/Northland Christian HS) started in goal and for the Panthers and had three saves.

Birmingham-Southern's season ends with an overall record of 9-7.
