ROME, Ga. – Two late runs lifted No. 8 Berry College to a 3-1 win over Birmingham-Southern softball Saturday in a Southern Athletic Association battle.  BSC (23-11, 10-3 SAA) held the Vikings scoreless for the first three innings.

Abby Spencer (Auburn, Ala./Auburn HS) went a perfect 3-for-3 at the plate with a double.  She was also a perfect 2-for-2 in stolen bases.  Haley Crumpton (Alabaster, Ala./Thompson HS) pitched a complete game, striking out six.

The series continues tomorrow with a doubleheader.  First pitch is scheduled for Noon ET
