Box Score 2 BIRMINGHAM, Ala. – The Birmingham-Southern softball team split its doubleheader with Piedmont College Tuesday afternoon. After BSC (11-3) won the first game 4-3, the Panthers saw a seven game win streak snapped with a 7-5 game two loss in extra innings.
Savannah Lee (Lascassas, Tenn./Oakland HS) hit three home runs on the day en route to a team-high four hits. She finished with four RBI, four runs and a 1.857 slugging percentage. Saydee Keith (Corner, Ala./Corner HS) and Kolyn Kyser (Springville, Ala./Springville HS) earned three-hits each. And Abby Spencer (Auburn, Ala./Auburn HS) and Annie Clayton (Eufaula, Ala./Eufaula HS) earned two hits each, respectively on the day.
Haley Crumpton (Alabaster, Ala./Thompson HS) picked up the complete game win. She threw seven innings, striking out a team-best five batters and allowed just one walk.
The Panthers are home again tomorrow in a doubleheader against Agnes Scott. First pitch is scheduled for 3 p.m.
