Box Score 2 BIRMINGHAM, Ala. – Birmingham-Southern softball won both its games against Agnes Scott College Wednesday. BSC (13-3) won game one 7-3 and then took game two 9-1 in six innings.
Kendell Hamm (Adamsville, Ala./Sumitron Christian HS) led the team at the plate. She earned a team-high four hits with two RBI. Savannah Lee (Lascassas, Tenn./Oakland HS) and Bailey Murphy (Trussville, Ala./Hewitt-Trussville HS) earned three hits each. Murphy finished with a team-high six RBI and hit a home run in game two. She also put in three innings of work on the mound, striking out a team-best three batters and allowing just one hit.
Haley Crumpton (Alabaster, Ala./Thompson HS) and Annie Clayton (Eufaula, Ala./Eufaula HS) picked up the wins. Clayton allowed just one run in her time on the mound. Collectively, the bullpen finished with a 2.15 ERA.
The Panthers hit the road again next. They travel to Memphis to take on conference rival Rhodes College. The teams meet for a doubleheader on Saturday that starts at noon.
