Box Score 2 MEMPHIS, Tenn. – The Birmingham-Southern softball team suffered its first Southern Athletic Association losses of the season at Rhodes College Saturday. The Panthers (13-5) fell 5-4 and 1-0 to move to 3-2 in SAA play.
Haley Crumpton (Alabaster, Ala./Thompson HS)led the team offensively with three hits, two of which were home runs. She also had four RBI and scored two runs. Five others had two-hit days on the road.
Jessica Perley (Vestavia Hills, Ala./Vestavia HS) and Crumpton received the losses after pitching complete games. Both struck out seven batters. Perley had allowed just one hit until the Lynx ended game two with a walkoff home run.
The series concludes tomorrow at noon.
