Box Score MEMPHIS, Tenn. – The Birmingham-Southern softball team won its series finale against Rhodes College Sunday in Southern Athletic Association play. BSC (14-5, 4-2 SAA) closed the series with a 6-1 win in game three.
Kendell Hamm (Adamsville, Ala./Sumitron Christian HS) and Annie Clayton (Eufaula, Ala./Eufaula HS) led the Panthers offensively. The pair went 3-for-4 at the plate with Hamm scoring three runs. Spencer and Lee picked up two hits each, respectively.
On the mound, Haley Crumpton (Alabaster, Ala./Thompson HS) pitched a full seven innings to earn the win. The lefty struck out a game-high six batters and is now 6-2 on the year.
BSC remains on the road. They travel to Huntingdon College on Saturday, March 23 for a doubleheader. First pitch is scheduled for noon.
