Box Score 2 MONTGOMERY, Ala. – The Birmingham-Southern softball team swept its doubleheader with Huntingdon College Saturday afternoon. BSC (16-5) took game one 4-2 before winning the finale 3-1.
Abby Spencer (Auburn, Ala./Auburn HS) was stellar on the day hitting .750 at the plate with six hits and two runs. She was also 2-for-3 in stolen bases. Bailey Murphy (Trussville, Ala./Hewitt-Trussville HS) finished with four hits of her own, including two doubles and a home run. And Kyrstyn Fisher (Alpharetta, Ga./Chattahoochee HS) went 3-for-3 at the plate with two doubles and run scored to finish with a 1.667 slugging percentage.
Haley Crumpton (Alabaster, Ala./Thompson HS) and Jessica Perley (Vestavia Hills, Ala./Vestavia HS) picked up the wins on the mound. Crumpton struck out a team-high 13 batters and finished with a 0.00 ERA. She also earned the save in game two.
The Panthers return to action on Tuesday, March 26 when they travel to face Covenant College in a doubleheader. First pitch is scheduled for 1 p.m. ET.
