Box Score ATLANTA – The Birmingham-Southern women's lacrosse team rolled past Oglethorpe 13-3 in a Southern Athletic Association road contest on Saturday afternoon.
BSC jumped out to a comfortable 9-2 lead before halftime and did not look back in the second half, allowing just one goal in the final 30 minutes.
Junior Jade Cox (Rome, Ga./Darlington School) and senior Katie Gleeson (Franklin, Tenn./Franklin HS) led the Panthers on offense, scoring six and five goals, respectively.
Gleeson also put together a notable defensive effort, causing a game-high five turnovers and four ground balls.
Sophomore goalie Alexus Howard (Spring Hill, Tenn./Franklin HS) finished the game with 11 saves.
Birmingham-Southern will travel to SAA foe Centre College for its next game on Saturday, April 6.
