Box Score 2 BIRMINGHAM, Ala. –No. 20 Birmingham-Southern softball continued to shine in Southern Athletic Association play Saturday. BSC (25-5) defeated the Warriors 3-2 and 11-4 to improve to 9-2 against conference opponents.
Abby Spencer (Auburn, Ala./Auburn HS) led the Panthers offensively. She went 4-for-6 at the plate with three runs and an RBI. Savannah Lee (Lascassas, Tenn./Oakland HS) and Annie Clayton (Eufaula, Ala./Eufaula HS) each had three hits on the day. Lee finished with six RBI and a home run. Murphy also had a multi-hit day. She went 2-for-5 with three runs and an RBI.
Haley Crumpton (Alabaster, Ala./Thompson HS) and Jessica Perley (Vestavia Hills, Ala./Vestavia HS) earned the wins in the circle. Crumpton struck out a team-high eight batters and allowed just one earned run.
The series against the Warriors concludes tomorrow. First pitch is scheduled for noon.
