JACKSONVILLE, Ala.  – No. 15 Birmingham-Southern softball answered the call in the bottom of the seventh inning and walked off against Mount. St. Joseph Sunday 6-5 to close out play at the 2020 Spring Classic. 

Kaylyn Chapman (New Castle, Pa./Shenango HS) went 3-for-3 with three RBI and a run.  Morgan McGuire (Notasulga, Ala./Reeltown HS) hit .667 with two hits of her own, two runs and an RBI.  Bailey Murphy (Trussville, Ala./University of South Alabama) picked up her first win of the season after pitching a complete seven innings.  She also knocked in the gamewinning run on a 3-1 pitch.

The Panthers return home to face Covenant on Saturday, Feb. 22.  The doubleheader against the Scots starts at noon.
