BSC Routs Greensboro on the Road

GREENSBORO, N.C. – The Birmingham-Southern women's lacrosse team rolled past Greensboro College 19-7 on Sunday to pick up its third win of the season.

BSC doubled Greensboro's goal tally in the first half, taking an 8-4 lead into to the break. The Panthers added 11 more goals in the final 30 minutes, including the final seven goals of the game, to end the contest with a 12-goal advantage.

Senior midfielder Jade Cox (Rome, Ga./Darlington School) led the Panthers offensively with five goals in the game, adding three assists. Sophomore attacks Kendal Vick (Madison, Ala./James Clemens HS) and Kathleen Napier (Burlingame, Calif./Mercy HS) also had a good day around the goal, both finding the back of the net four times. Vick also added an assist while Napier had two assists.

In goal, junior Alexus Howard (Franklin, Tenn./Franklin HS) got the started and recorded the win. Howard finished with five saves.

With the win, Birmingham-Southern improves to 3-2 overall. The Panthers return to the Hilltop for their next home game, a Southern Athletic Association contest against Rhodes, on Saturday, Feb. 29 at noon.
