BIRMINGHAM, Ala. – Birmingham-Southern softball was on an 11-game win streak when the spring season was halted due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The National Fastpitch Coaches Association recognized the Panthers success, moving them into the national rankings in the organizations final poll. BSC (14-4) closes the year ranked 20th in the country.
They won 13 of their 14 last games. BSC's doubleheader split with then No. 2 Emory University was the Panthers only loss since February 15. They closed out the year as the national leaders in double plays, sacrifice flies, and stolen bases. Several Panthers rank nationally individually as well.
