BSC CONCLUDES SAA TOURNAMENT IN SIXTH

DICKSON, TENN. - The Birmingham-Southern women's golf team finished the 2023-24 season strong with four players having their best rounds on the final day of the SAA Women's Golf Championship.

On day one, Camryn Blackwell led the Panthers with a top 20 individual placement. Her round of 82 (+10) placed her two strokes above teammate Gentry Scott who also had a good start to the tournament. Izzy LoBue and Markie Nelson rounded off the day one scores for BSC with an 87 and 88 respectively.

Gentry Scott had the best day on the course for BSC on day two of the championship. She scored an 85 (+13), good for 27th. Camryn Blackwell stayed inside the top 25 of individuals with an 86 in round two. Haylee Johnson improved by four strokes from day one with an 88 while Markie Nelson finished the day with an 89.

The Panthers saved their best performance for the final round of the SAA Tournament. Gentry Scott and Camryn Blackwell had excellent performances with a 78 (+6) and 79 (+7) respectively to finish tied for 21st among all individual players. Izzy LoBue and Markie Nelson tied their first round performances with an 87 and 88 respectively to cap-off the 2023-24 season for the Birmingham-Southern women's golf team.
